Mr. Blatchford supported various science and technology research efforts related to Surface Water, through Reclamation’s Research and Development Office.

This research effort is complete, and tied increased temperatures to decreasing runoff efficiency in the Rio Grande and Colorado River watersheds. The research was conducted by the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research, in partnership with the Albuquerque Area Office.
