Geography 596a and Geography 596b:

The following presentation was made at the American Water Resources Association (AWRA) Spring specialty conference in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) at the Snowbird Resort, Utah, May 2014. This work was performed in collaboration with the Salt River Project (SRP) and the the United States Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) as part of the Pennsylvania State University’s Master of Geographic Information Systems (MGIS) Geog 596a and Geog 596b (capstone). The work developed a Google Earth API mash-up for the Phoenix Metropolitan area that enhanced river operations and emergency management. The intent of the work is to demonstrate how presentation of streamflow data can increase operational efficiencies through visual analysis.
